In the digital age, your brand is on display to clients, customers, employers and business partners all the time. Based on how you portray yourself, they “know” your brand before they even meet you. To the digital community there may be no clear difference between the professional and personal versions of yourself. Branding is a critical aspect of any successful business and with digital you can do it yourself. Learn how to increase your presence and positive reputation online to improve your career and increase your business.

Tetlanyo Lekalake has worked at Facebook for 3 years and was recently appointed Country Marketing Lead for small and medium business in the Middle East, Africa and Turkey. Prior to this, she worked in Facebook’s Community Operations team as an Africa Market Specialist and then as a Project Manager on the Hate & Violence Process team. Tetlanyo is passionate about equality, diversity and inclusion. In 2015, she co-founded the African Professional Network of Ireland (APNI), an organization that aims to connect, empower and foster collaboration between young professionals of African descent living in Ireland. The non-profit, which has built a following of over 3,000 people, has drawn local and international speakers, as well as corporate sponsors such as Facebook, Google, Citi, Salesforce and Irish Distillers Pernod Ricard. Within Facebook, Tetlanyo co-founded the Dublin Chapter of an employee resource group called Black@ Facebook. She graduated from the University of Cape Town with a Bachelor of Business Science majoring in Marketing.

Born in rural Ireland with an insatiable curiosity and desire to explore, Conor is passionate about how technology reinvents our world every single day.  He has enjoyed a successful career as a serial entrepreneur, educator and explorer of emerging technology.

Now with over 20 years experience building brands and businesses online, he divides his time between advising clients on the future, and creating brands and businesses like SocialMedia.ie and The Snapys and Connector.

Connector explores the future for clients by fusing the strategic expertise of innovation consulting with the power by a creative studio.  They build ideas that create value and enhance employee engagement. The team work for clients like Huawei, Benecol, Dr. Oetker, EY, numerous startups, SMEs and personal brands and won awards at Irish, European & global level.

Conor is a business graduate of DIT, Trinity College and the UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School and has spent some time lecturing and creating digital courses for Universities.  He is into lifelong learning and is constantly studying the intersection of business, technology and people.
